Great location, friendly staff

We had a lovely stay at Swissotel Grand Shanghai! The location is fantastic, with many food options and shopping malls within walking distance. The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel offers great amenities like a rooftop pool. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning.

One slight issue was the lift occasionally malfunctioning.

The location of Swissotel Shanghai really stood out. It’s close to Jing'An Temple and surrounded by plenty of shopping and dining options. The room was spacious and fitted with blackout curtains, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Having access to a pillow menu was a nice touch, especially for someone like me who prefers specific types of pillows. Breakfast offered a good variety, with both Eastern and Western cuisines which I appreciated. the bathroom had limited counter space, making it challenging to organize my toiletries. the shower switch was awkward, with only a rain shower that sprayed directly in my face. The internet was reliable most of the time but had issues at peak hours. It’s worth noting that there was some noticeable noise from the traffic outside and the air conditioning struggled to cool the room in winter. while the hotel has a fantastic atmosphere and great amenities, attention to bathroom maintenance and clearer communication on charges could enhance the experience further.

The rooms offer decent furnishings and comfortable beds, making for a pleasant experience. Access to a well-equipped pool area and changeroom with sauna and steam room is a bonus for relaxation.

Room issues varied. while some had great electrical setups, others struggled with limited outlets and confusing switches. TV connectivity could use an upgrade with options like Airplay for streaming. My room had a noisy lift that reset unexpectedly, and found the front desk processes slow and inexperienced, causing longer wait times for check-in and inquiries. Shower controls were also challenging to manage, requiring patience.

Had a great experience during my stay. The breakfast included a good selection, catering to different tastes. I appreciated the clean and spacious room. I faced a small inconvenience with the room's electrical outlets, but the location near shopping and dining options made it easier to explore. I had a nice moment bonding with my family over breakfast, which made the trip memorable.

I've really enjoyed my stay since it was so easy to walk to nearby landmarks like Jing'an Temple, just a few steps away, and the amazing urban planning exhibition hall, which was under 2 km from the hotel. this made my weekend strolls even more delightful.

Had a great stay at Swissotel! Super convenient location near shopping and the subway. Housekeeping was on point, and loved the breakfast spread. Just wish the front desk service was a bit better. it felt a little rushed at times.

It was a well-suited match for a holiday in Shanghai, offering good value for money. I was pleasantly surprised when the bar staff found and returned my lost favorite earrings, which showed their attentiveness. Make sure to check the breakfast options. they have a nice variety.
